Stubben designed their line of Golden Wing bits to eliminate the pinching that can be caused by loose rings on the bit, as well as to optimize the position of the bit indepedent of where the horse’s head may be. The innovative cheek plates also provide indirect rein pressure when the horse is resistant to direct rein pressure, increasing the response to the aid. Sweet copper incentivises the horse to accept the bit. This bevel style bit can be used in 4 different ways to increase the amount of pressure felt by the horse. It can be used as a simple loose ring snaffle. By fixing the cheek piece to one loop, a small amount of poll pressure can be exerted on the horse. With both rein and cheekpiece in their loops, the bit acts like a mild gag. Finally, with the addition of a gag cheekpiece laced through the loops, the bit can be turned into a proper gag. *gag cheeks sold separately.*
