Twin Oaks Farm is a hobby farm located in Bracebridge Ontario with the look and feel of a full-fledged equestrian center.
Stalls
The owners of Twin Oaks Farm chose the Wellington Stall Series from the Designer Swing Collection without decorative flanges. The stalls were installed by C.D. Lowe & Son. Feed openings were added for faster feed time. These stall fronts provided the owners with the open concept feel they were seeking while also being highly functional and appealing. Privacy partitions were chosen to maintain the open concept feel while also giving the horses a space to themselves if that is what they desire. The windows are fitted with opening window grills to keep the space bright and open, allowing for easy cleaning while also keeping the horses inside safe and happy as well. Each stall has its own powder coated red float water bowl. These bowls give the horses 24/7 access to clean fresh water without waste. StableComfort was chosen for the flooring inside the stalls, providing the horses with unsurpassed comfort. Not to mention the savings on shavings and labour for the owners.
Barn
One of the first things you notice when approaching the barn is the entranceway featuring wooden Dutch doors with System Equine barn door hardware. The Madison style was chosen for the hinges which is a more squared-off look than the more pointed Rockwood style. The choice to go with windows in the Dutch doors instead of a solid double door helps to achieve the open-concept look and feel inside. In the summer the tops of the doors can remain open during the day to get a nice breeze going through the barn and further increase the open concept look. The wash stall features impermeable, easy-to-clean wall coverings and diy storage for a highly functional space.
Fencing
Three rails of black 5” Flex were installed by C.D. Lowe & Son in the paddocks due to the safety and visibility features of the product. The black colour matches the roof and window trim colours of the barn creating a high end look.
