The Temperature Controlled Outlet provides the narrowest On/Off window available to maximize energy savings. While other thermally-controlled outlets may turn on at 35°F, they do not actually turn off until 50°F or more. Those units may turn on in November and not turn off until April! But the Temperature Controlled Outlet is microprocessor controlled with temperature sensors accurate to within 0.1°F.It turns on at 35°F and off at 37°F!
Simply plug the TCO into an existing outlet and plug the device you wish to control into the TCO. When the air temperature drops below 35°F, the TCO will supply power to the device. When the air temperature climbs above 37°F, the TCO will switch off power to the device. The TCO can be used indoors or outdoors.
The TCO can save money when used to control devices such as heat lamps, heat tapes, engine heaters, or any de-icer, and can also be used to turn on a lamp to serve as a freeze warning.
